As a teaching assistant at Laval University, I participated in an educational project to explain the role of heat pumps in improving building energy efficiency. We wanted to create an engaging video that explained how they work and their environmental advantages. To achieve this, we had to effectively manage the project and collaborate across disciplines, including task coordination, data collection, and ensuring timely completion. We focused on clear visuals and concise explanations to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Through this project, I gained valuable insights into energy-efficient technologies and sustainable engineering practices, while enhancing my organizational and communication skills. Additionally, I developed the ability to translate technical information into engaging content, an essential skill for raising awareness about sustainable solutions.

I joined Lepage Millwork’s R&D team, where I aimed to design detailed 3D models of door and window products using Fusion 360. I paid close attention to ensuring accuracy and alignment with manufacturing requirements. I developed prototypes that focused on improving the water and air infiltration performance of products, while still meeting high standards of reliability and efficiency. My active participation in various tests at R&D’s lab resulted in an evaluation and improvement of the performance and reliability of Lepage products. Additionally, I was involved in optimizing internal workflows within the manufacturing facility by analyzing existing processes and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce production time.

Once again, I held the position of part-time tutor at Laval University, marking quizzes and projects for the course “Mechanics of Materials”, maintaining impartiality while offering guidance to enhance student performance. I also offered tutoring sessions to clarify complex topics such as stress analysis, strain and material properties. By breaking down challenging problems, linking theory to practical applications and promoting structured problem-solving strategies, I guided students toward a deeper understanding of the subject.

Currently, at the Quebec Housing Corporation (QHC), I work on initiatives that aim to improve energy efficiency in the residential sector. As part of a dedicated team, I analyze technical documents, such as building codes, energy standards, architectural plans, and detailed specifications, to ensure compliance and optimize performance. As a student in building expertise, I take responsibility for conducting comprehensive assessments of the structural, mechanical, and electrical systems of various components, using health reports as a guide. Additionally, I evaluate the technical implications of property modification requests, such as servitudes, land sales and transfers, by preparing comprehensive technical reviews and recommendations.
